New Expansion valve, drier, weatherstrip between radiator and condenser, 2 cans of duracool. 25 psi low, 175 psi high.

Weatherstrip between the condenser and the radiator? You lost me there.
76 Birchaven - "Wicked Mistress" - New engine, trans, alum radiator, brakes, Sully airbags, fuel lines, seats, adult beverage center... those Coachmen guys were really thinking about us second hand owners by including that beverage center...

Cool,
Are you running the A6 compressor or the newer style?
Dash air is on my short list. That picture may motivate me to get it done. My system was previously retrofitted to 134a. I shot one can in and things got cold for just a short time. Everything leaked out the front seal of the A6 compressor. I am trying to decide whether to get and rebuilt A6 or try the new style.

The weatherstrip is to make sure that all of the air pulled through the radiator is also pulled through the condenser.

Correct, original a6, also the condenser should be about 3/8" from radiator and sealed to prevent short circuiting air from the edges...my Condenser was about an inch and a half away...I have no other dash air mods...this was in recirc with 85 degree outdoor air temp. 1800 rpm. I did hunt for the coldest spot...average was probably 42ish

Interesting. My condenser sits about 2" away on a factory bracket. Don't see how it would be adjusted or where weatherstrip would go.

Look on the photo site on my section for AC Seal Party. We did three of them at Ted Petty's a couple years ago, using Larry's tool kit. It did the US Tour, left here for Dolph's, dunno where it went from there. Well traveled and very useful.

Thanks for the offer, very much appreciated. I will keep that in mind. I watched a couple of Utube video's on the process. I will let you know if I get to a point where I am ready to do it.

Steve,
I over-thought this one. I worried and studied and thought some more because it was something totally new to me. I’d never worked on an AC compressor. As it turned out this poor shade-tree mechanic was able to do the job in very little time.
