Hello Ken,

Did you modify your stainless steel sending units in any way?

Did you shorten the lines?

Did you flare the stainless tubing?

Did you work the stainless in any way.

Curious minds want to know.

Thanks,

Don and Susan Jeffers

Don,

I merely cut the vertical pipe and spliced it with a compression coupling.
That enabled me to orient the pickup where I wanted as well as shorten it
for the low tanks. Fortunately, I didn't have to try to do any stainless
flaring

Of course, the float arm also had to be cut and re-bent to adjust for the
tank height -- I didn't get that very accurate, but at least it's
consistent now.

Finally, I there were minor interferences between our tank port and the
provided new locking ring; easily corrected with a Dremel tool.

All-in-all, a good, cheap install. The 3-line version would allow for
additional venting of the tank, or use as a return line. My first one was
that version but I didn't think of those uses so just plugged the 3rd line;
if I ever have it down again, I'll probably correct that.
