A while back we had a discussion here about replacement U-joints for
steering columns. I don't recall the details nor conclusions, if any.
But, if anyone's still looking for such, here's a possible source that I've
used for other items and been well satisfied with their quality:

They list a number of different U-joint configurations -- whether useful
for the GMC, I have no idea.
I do know that their "Two line sending unit GM Full size cars 1973-1976
Stainless Steel..." and similar "Three line..." can be easily modified to
fit our tanks -- they're in mine.
