46th Cracker Flyin at the Gainesville GA airport (Lee Gilmer Memorial Field) Saturday. Cheap breakfast at 7A. Any of the pilots in the GMC crew gonna be there? Sponsered by the Gainesville EAA chapter.

A "Fly-in" is when a group of pilots gets together at a mutually agreed upon airport for breakfast, lunch, supper, etc.
It's similar to an unhosted GMC gathering.

How we get into these..... sheesh<tm>
'Cracker' is an old term for a countryman, particularly in Georgia. It has recently been given the connotation of a racial slur, much the same as 'redneck' where I grew up. Consequently, both are less used. I miss regional language but I suspect it's pretty much on the decline anymore.
I will point out, the Crackers were the minor league baseball team in Atlanta before the Braves got here.
If anyone is interested in the genesis of these two terms, I'll provide.

I have come to discover that, with the introduction of "White Privilege", there is no longer any objectionable, pejorative or racial slur that cannot be used to identify a white skinned person of Christian heritage. Be aware that anything that is said about any minority that even has a lot of letters (regardless or root meaning) similar to what used to be a pejorative can and will most certainly be cause for great angst and possible retribution.
That is just the way it is these days.
