The FMCA northwest regional rally at Coos Bay, OR, is winding down today. Nothing major to report. Is rally was light on vendors, just the normal group of magic elixirs (always my favorite just to watch the pitch), a couple of LED guys, lots of RV places and tours, and a hand full of big coach repair stuff. The display coaches included a reasonable representation of new big coach makers, a number of used large coaches but very few new or used small coaches, and none of the small coaches built on the FWD Fiat chassis. Prices continue to rise with gas coaches now entering $200,000 territory and diesel pushers settling into three brackets - $300k entry level, $500k mid level and $700k upper end. It is really hard for me to see why people are buying these new coaches when a few year old formerly good name coaches are selling for half or less from those prices. The coaches themselves and the included systems have changed very little and most of the used ones have seen fewer
than 10k miles per year.
