appie wrote on Fri, 26 June 2015 12:54As I wanted to buy a spare alternator I was looking into getting a 100 A
Now I found this site http://vintage.mitchell1.com/PClubData/chassis/del82/V2823012.pdf. http://vintage.mitchell1.com/PClubData/chassis/del82/V2823012.pdf
Saying that at 2000 rpm. The output of both is 55 A. As Olga seldom comes over 2400 rpm. About 115 km. There does not seem to be any reason to change to a 100 A alternator
Appie,
I moved up. The 100 Amp is the first one that has lasted for a while, but that may be coincidence. It is from O'Reilly. I would not be surprised to find they are all remanufactured in the same factory.
I did replace the Alternator output wire that goes to the isolator. You want to be sure you can carry a full 100 amps. You might rev up sometime.
