Got coach from Ken Frey today with new motor. Ran it home about 120 miles and it runs strong. Can maintain 50 mph in 3rd without lugging even on long steep grades.
Very happy with the performance and Kens work. His wife even cleaned and vacuumed the coach before he gave it back. Now that's service! We got it weighed. The front is exactly one half of the back at 3920# and the back 7840# for a total of 11760#. Pretty good for a stretch. I guess the weights installed in the front were measured to get this distribution. Anyway I guess 225 tires will be just fine. Now I have to choose an all season that is quiet. Kens likes the Firestones and sell them installed and balanced on his machine for less than $200 a tire. Just a long ride to get tires. Should have thought about it before I picked up the coach. As my grandmother often told me "my head would never save my heels." Thanks for everyone's help.
