The idea that the conversion was not done right is not substantiated by the history. The conversion was done about 15 years ago by a converter in Northern Florida that did a bunch of them. That was 70,000 miles ago. Most of that time it was pulling a loaded car trailer with antique cars he transported. I believe the extra weight was to overcome tung load. Also overhead cabinets were removed in front area as well as davo bunks. Of course I have changed all that. When I pick it up tomorrow from Ken Frey with new motor I will have made $35k worth of upgrades and repairs so I am not ready to part it out. I will check weight as modified now tomorrow. I am more interested in tires with good traction on grass but not noisy. Reliability is a given requirement for front tire. I don't want to deal with blowouts. To balance the weight I may move the water tank forward to under the seats and I have a Honda EV6010 to replace the Onan. Thank you everyone for taking the time to think about
this and responding. Still open to any suggestion on size and make of tires that meet the requirements. I thought that I read that we wanted fabric sidewall and not steel but can't remember. There must be a reason Michelin rib tires are $80 more each over the next grade tire unless it is just the quantity made. Even the tire weight is close. Even though I have never driven this coach on grass I remember how bad my 78 Royale was on grass. That's why I would prefer an all season tire. Whatever I put on fronts will go on rears eventually as I don't want different sizes.

Jon, we had a couple of 23' coaches modified to remote broadcast. Most of the equipment went in the back so the jock was visible through the added picture window on the driver's side. The result was weight bias to the rear. We found in Orlando if we parked the coach out front on the grass overnight, it would not pull off in the morning dew. They're >never< gonna have great traction, and weighting the rear doesn't help at all. As to tires, opinions vary - probably any quality tire will work fine.
