A note from Leigh Harrison's son.

hi my name is Rici Hall I am Leigh Harrison son and I would like to thank you for the wonderful and beautiful flower arrangement you all sent out today. the service was small and quaint but it was still beautiful and for the president of your club to take time out of his schedule to make it to my dads service really says alot and means alot to me and my family..

I know you were a great part of my dads life and he really enjoyed spending time with each and every one of you and he always spoke very highly about the club . many days and nights he would tell me stories about the rallies he had went on with my mother "Mildred".... many of you may remember her..... she passed a few years ago to Alzheimer disease.

anyhow I am sure the question will arise so I will answer it already the gmc will not be sold that coach will be kept forever ..... my dad devoted his life to that thing and it will be passed on throughout my kids and so on it has more sentimental value than any amount of money I promise you that .... that coach is all I have now...... so anyhow thank you so very much for the flowers and for being a great friend to him and keep the flags flying high and the good times rolling.

Jarid,

If you are in touch with Mr. Hall could you ask if he needs any help
selling any of the GMC parts that his father had?

I will ask. I didn't think it proper to bring up at the funeral.

I agree that that was not the proper time to ask. That is why I waited
a week. Just trying to help the estate get a good price and not see the
parts end up in a scrap yard and lost.

Remember all the flea market stuff we sold in Dothan? Came from Jimmie Philips' widow, she wasn't aware of how to sell it and thus donated. Let's be sure Ms Harrison doesn't end up 'eating' valuable equipment which might be better turned to cash.

Nice to see Leigh's GMC is staying in the family and will be used.
I would hope that Rici would be invited to join the GMCTWCs and the
coach would remain in the club. When I lost Jane, the GMC TWCs and
Dixielanders was a large part of my getting thru that time.

I brought a trailer load of GMC parts to Montgomery for Mrs. Mary Brown
who's husband passed away the August before the Spring Rally. It felt like
I was practically giving the parts away. Mary was very pleased with the
amount that I had collected for her. She said "I didn't know that those
parts were worth that much"! Anyway all was happy the parts didn't go to
waste.
