Two tire questions:

1. Has anybody had bad luck with Goodrich Commercial TA?
2. Has anybody used Dextero DHT2 tires from Walmart?

Story:

This past Tuesday we're on our way from Central Florida to Santee SC. The GMC has 4 Goodyear Wrangler HT (about 1 year old) and 2 Goodrich Commercial TA (just over 3 years old). Driving thru GA the coach starts vibrating a bit. Cross into SC and its really shaking. About 50 miles later its shaking really bad so i pull off into a Flying J and find the left mid Goodrich is bulging at the tread. Put on the spare (a 6 year old Toyo) and the ride is much better. In about another 50 miles the coach starts shaking a bit. I keep driving until we got to Santee State park, stop for the night, and in the morning I see that the right mid Goodrich has a bubble in the tread, not as bad as the left one did but I know i cant drive too far especially since I now dont have a good spare.

The closest anything is in Manning SC, 38 miles away. We make it to a Walmart in Manning, bumping and thumping. I bought 3 of the Dextero DHT2 tires (2 to put on the GMC and 1 to replace the 6 year old spare) because its the only brand they had in this size. At $106 each these are the cheapest tires Ive ever bought. These are also the first Chinese tires Ive ever used. Now the GMC rides smoothly, there is no vibration at all.

Now we're in North Florida at Blue Springs Park just off the Santa Fe river. The trip from SC to here was smooth and uneventful. The Chinese tires are working great so far. I wonder how long they will last, can't be any worse than the American Goodrich tires .......or can they?

Anybody else have any tire drama like this? Interesting how both date code 4711 Goodriches purchased in spring 2012 with about 15000 miles on them started coming apart within 100 miles of each other.
