Hello GMC Netters,

I have had a problem with the Latch/Lock on the coach's glove box door. The assembly was very loose and would not latch tightly.

So, I put the key in the lock and with a bit of fiddling around with it, I was able to take it apart.

Looking at the parts manual, I found that the assembly consist of the three components that I have after taking it apart:

5) Cylinder Assembly which is the knob
6} Escutcheon
7) Case Assembly which is the lock assembly


Installed the Case Assembly using the Escutcheon in the glove box door with the notch in the Case Assembly in the correct position
in the door which also aligns the lock mechanism up the inside of the glove box latch.

What is the procedure for installing the cylinder assembly into the installed case assembly?
