I finally got my cruise control working again today, only to have the plastic clip that holds the chain to the linkage stud on the carb break. Two steps forward, one step back.

Anyone know where to get this clip? I've been searching the auto parts sites, but am only finding generic Dorman clip kits. I bought one of the Dorman kits at my local O'Reilly, but it doesn't seem to fit well on the carb linkage stud. I'm not even sure I'm using the Dorman clip correctly as I haven't yet found any instructions for them.

Also, I bought a cruise control rod from JimK, but apparently the stud on the carburetor is larger than what probably came stock, as the hole at the end of the rod does not fit over the stud. I'm also not sure how to connect it on the bellows side. Page 296 of the manual has a diagram that shows a chain between the rod and bellows, but the rod I have only has a series of small holes.
