My running lights (tail lights, marker lights . . ) are cutting out intermittently. They always come on initially and operate for some time before I notice that they have gone out. If I turn them off for a while and switch them back on the work for a while. The headlights and turn signals are not affected by this issue.

I do have my reverse camera tapped into the tail lights for power though I doubt that that is the cause.

I'm guessing that the issue must be with the switch.

Have any of you run into a similar issue? Any recomendations for troubleshooting?

Thanks for your help,

Check the fuse connector in the fuse block for oxidation. Make sure it is clean and making good contact with the fuse. Mine bad enough to cause the fuse connection to heat up enough to melt the fuse. I thought at first that there was a short somewhere but after cleaning the contact, it has been trouble free for many years.

Thanks Rick. I did check the fuse, but did not check for connection. I will look at that.

Be sure to check for bad ground- have found that to be the problem w CL issues most of the time
If you have "hot' on both wires with a test light [which itself needs a verified ground] thats your problem
