The circuit breaker is a marine unit that I would have had to order. The wire size was too long and too small to expect it to survive 75 amps for very long. I did wire around the breaker as a test and the wire was getting too hot to hold when I shut down that test and ran the engine instead to provide the initial high amp charge. BTW, the Iota 75 amp unit has been sold to one of our posters.

In the Clasco, the converter/charger is located behind the 120vac and 12vdc breaker panel which itself is behind the upper most door aft of the kitchen. The AGM 4D house battery is located aft of the generator so it is a bit of a hassle to run larger wire between the two. Easier to replace the converter/charger with a 55 amp unit that matches the wire size and breaker.

Jerry,

That is a very real issue with AGM, but I am wondering why you didn't just replace the circuit breaker. Yes, the wire might get a little warm, but
that won't last long.
