Im recent recipient of rebuilt tranny and 4:10 drive from a owner here in MN. Rebuilt about +5 years ago, but maybe only 5000 miles on it. been on a shelf in garage for a few years. Its all in one nice and tide piece so figured just swap it all in one shot

Is there any bench inspection or testing process that should be done prior to swapping it or is that just wasted money. My 73 has about 91k on it an it shifts pretty good well, but pukes up fluid after use, as I understand that may be from the TC.

another question I pose is when the tranny is off are there any seals I can replace while we have access. I seem to leak a little oil from every direction, so its process of elimination to get it removed from the rolling superfund site list

any and all input is appreciated. Does there exist a GMC friendly shop here Minnesota. I wouldn't mind sending them some business.

thanks

Erich
