I need to paint the door panel of the OEM fridge for the 1973 Sequoia where it was vandalized with spray paint. I don't know of I am going to go with the original green or change to white, but whatever I do, I want the texture to be true to OEM.
I have a panel from the freezer door of a two-door fridge and the texture is more or less flat. Is that the way it came from the factory, or was it gloss or semi-gloss?

Not a true answer to your problem.
But, when I ordered my new frig from PPL, it came without a door panel. I bought a section of White board, used with dry erase markers, and installed it for notes while using the GMC. I also installed a 8" wide strip of sheet metal, behind the white board, to allow for your typical frig magnets to hold notes.
When we go to organized rallies, the rally notes are posted on frig, easy to find. I also post the campground map in the same place. It makes what is purely decorative into useful real estate.
