I am a plodder. I read with fascination all the things Kerry does. I have groused about this before. He must not sleep. Me, I plod and still take a snooze many afternoons.
I am currently "getting ready" to pull the Final Drive back far enough to see why the governor won't come out. My work goes something like this:
Day 1, put it up on stands.
Day 2, re work my stands
Day 3 fail to ever get started on the GMC
Day 4 Take the header loose.
Day 5 One more great effort to get the governor out
Days 6-8 Think
Day 9 pull the modulator and drain the fluid
Day 10- filter the fluid with a coffee filter and think about using it again. (I has about 1000 mile on it.)
Day 11 Lay under the coach and think about things
Day 12 Take the bolts out of the left CV joint.
Day 13 Buy some lock-tight for the day I put bolts back in the CV Joint.
Now, it is not that I am laying around watching TV all day. I get lots of things done. Today I replaced some decking. The trouble is Kerry is building things, inventing things and and has pulled his transmission a couple of times. Me, not so much,
But I have big plans. After this weekend, with the big retirement party for our Pastor at our place, Monday I plan to get back out to the barn. (Oh yeah, I have been spending the hours on sprucing up the grounds.) Who knows, I may get the half shaft pulled out of the final drive. Then I may come in and read about what Kerry has accomplished.
