I am not sure that they would be any noisier but I suspect that the load capacity could be reduced if the contact area is less on the race modification.

Yeah, I'd like to see the results on a LOADED bearing. If this is viable under load, you have to wonder why bearings with pitted races don't last much longer after they become pitted. Maybe because the balls get distorted when the races get holy, but I've seen plenty of pitted races with shiny smooth balls or rollers, and they made PLENTY of noise when they were loaded!

Good luck with that.
I have read a few things about bearings and I doubt the balls hitting each other is the problem.
In fact it looks to me like the balls hit harder when they approach the bump.

I watched the video and still don't understand the concept. I would think that with no grease they would loose the "heat sink compound" effect that the grease helps provide.
