I replaced my air compressor last month. Since then both sides rear air valves are leaking, as well as a leak up front. On the rear air valves, I don't think I need to replace the arm part of the valve.

When I spoke with Gateway a while ago, they told me they have something called a "high control valve" for 115 each, and suggested adding an adjustable link arm for another $16.

Does anyone have suggestions for my rig? I posted a picture of the rear valve here- http://cbabc.com/air/

Thanks, JT

JT,

Contact Dave Lenzi:

When you attempt to remove the valves the bolts will probably be rusted so spray them with penetrating oil profusely for several
days first then turn them slowly to try and not cause them to break off, seize, or cause the rivet nuts to turn in the wheel well.

I've looked at your photo and it appears that someone has already fabricated a mounting plate for the valve. If I am mistaken here's
a series of photos of the ones I made for Double Trouble in the USA.

If that does happen you will need to fabricate something like this:

Did the leaks only start after the new compressor?
Where or how is the valve leaking?
I would do some more testing to determine what's going on before replacing parts.

II do not see what replacing the compressor has to do with leaking ride height valves. That said, is it the valves leaking or the hose connections? The OEM connections were made out of plastic and many of them leak after 4o years. I replaced everyone of them in my coach and got rid of all of my air leaks. You can get the Parker brass replacements from some auto parts stores. They are used on truck air brakes. Mine at the time were around $1.50 each. NAPA also had them for $3.00 EACH.

If the valves themselves are leaking, Dave Lenzi has rebuilt ones and Applied GMC has new ones for $92.95.

JT,

Is yours the yellow Glenbrook in South Beach at the repair facility? I see it when headed to visit mine in storage just south of there. Maybe sometime we will get to meet.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I am still pretty green, but learning as quick as I can. Very Happy
