Just bought the one reviewed here --except the newer wi-fi version. I will most likely set up as self-contained yard cam. $84 now for waterproof, wi-fi, looping HD cam. There's no night vision, but that'll probably be the next model. So the total $ for a remote, free-standing security station setup, including 12v sla/agm battery from kid's powerwheel is going to be around $130.

I've been running a dash cam for a while now..so far I have only recorded
the final moments of a few bugs!

Wal-Mart has a neat little dash camera for $40. Stores on microSD card. Has a sensor to lock the video file if an impact occurs. I have recording of very stupid drivers doing stupid things. It loops back over old recordings, unless the file is locked.
