Is the value when the alarm comes on, able to be set by the user?
I like the function of the digipanel, the Esthetics, not so much. I can see that a device that runs in parallel to a conventional guage
that has a user settable alarm point and perhaps a tri-color LED indicator would be useful. Each guage would have a small led mounted beside it that would glow green normally, turn orange as a warning and activate a user cancellable bleep when something goes outside normal specs, and then red with non cancellable alarm (like the "pull up" warnings on civil aircraft.)
It would be clever to add voice warning (fairly easy nowadays).........
Only visible part on the dash would be the single LED per guage and one alarm cancel button. and one could add the device to any gauge one wanted.

I suggest you review the full brochure on the Digi-Panel in a nutshell there are three different colored bars:
Green = all good
Yellow = caution
Red = problem
There is an audio alarm as well that comes on at ?? PSI or ??°F (I can't remember the pressure or temperature).

I'm talking about being notified of an oil pressure problem before your light, or any gauge displayed a problem. Bob Dunahugh
As it is now. You only know you have an oil pressure problem is by seeing the light come on. And that's if you see it on a bright
sunny day. And that's after the damage has already started to happen. Would there be an interest in a sensor kit that I could make?

Pete,
No the alarm set points are programmed at the factory, however, I'll bet Art could / would set them wherever you wanted.
As far as esthetics go I quote Buckminster Fuller; 'form follows function."
What you describe below would require a tremendous amount of time when compared to installing a Digi Panel. I have seen one in the
dash and all you see is the face panel. I intend to install the ones I have for Double Trouble and The Blue Streak behind the dash
panel. All one will see are slots for the individual green / yellow / red leds. The face of the dashboard will be engraved similarly
to the Digi Panel.
The audible alarms can be switched on or off. When one comes on you can switch it off.
Regards,
Rob M.

I know there are systems that work much better, but most people will not go
to that extent to do so.
I have found that Digi Panel notifies you erl enough to prevent damage.
When the sun s shining in your face, it is almost impossible to look at the
gage.
Having the alarm has saved people lot of problems,
