List,
sitting in Germany without the ability to do something to the coach
makes me think way too much. One thing I am curious about is:
Is the original carpet still available as new, or something that is
fairly similar to the 76 Eleganza's red-brown-orange carpet?

A few years ago I was talking with Jeff at Alex Sirrum and I think he mentioned having a source or knowing of a source for at least some of the original carpet texture/colors. You might get in touch with him and ask. This probably goes back 5+ years so I could be misremembering or the info could simply be out of date.
