I have a 1978 with original cruise control, which never has worked. The light used to be on all the time, now it is not. The backup lights still work, so I understand that means the fuse is ok.

So I assume the light is burned out. I have never removed the tell-tale lights, but does not look too bad to do in the shop manual. I am assuming check/replace bulb is first thing to do, but what should be next troubleshooting steps?
