Didn't hear from anyone on the item below. Is there any interest in a product like that. I liked the fact that it kept the gas off my coach body paint job. worked great. I'd like to know who was selling them. Bob Dunahugh

It was made of plastic. Sealed tight around you gas fill pipe. And stopped gas from getting on the body paint. Got one 10 years ago at a GMCMI meet. Does anyone still sell them? Mine has now cracked. Bob Dunahugh Member GMCMI.

Bob,

There was no item below but I suspect you're talking about the flat funnel shaped whachamadoodle that fit over the filler neck and
stuck out from the body about 6 inches.

Paul Bennett sold them, however, he doesn't have any more as I bought the last one he had.

Regards,
Rob M.

Bob,

The Sunshine Statesmen held a male craft session at one of our rallies
earlier this season and we each made one. didn't take much time and was
kind of fun. (Hey Mom, look what I made!)

These have been sold for a number of years at GMCMI rallies. They are made out of a heavy vinyl material and fit over the filler neck and hang down the side of the coach for about 12”. You roll it up when finished after you put the gas cap on and store it behind the fill door. I had one until about five years ago when it finally fell apart. Keeps the fuel off the coach. Need to make some soon.

JR,

I believe the one I got from Paul Bennett is a plastic material and fitted tightly over the fuel cap spigot. It stuck out at a
downward angle about 6 inches.

Rob,
I have not seen that version, but it should work well too. The one that I had was made out of heavy vinyl leather type material and was on the neck all the time and rolled up and stored on top of the gas cap behind the gas door when not in use.

The one Buskirk put on my stretch is a piece of leather 18 inches long by 6 1/2 inch wide. Hole in one end that is a snug fit over the gas filler tube, held down by an aluminum ring that is pop riveted in place. Sides fold in and the bib rolls up and sits on top of the gas cap. Really works well keeping burped gas off the side of the coach. Sounds like what JR has.

Thanks for the replies. Called Paul Bennett. He can't get them anymore. As the company that made them went out of business a few years ago. I'm wandering if there's enough of a market to get some more made. The mold is the pricey part. Any thoughts? Bob Dunahugh Member GMCMI.
