Hi Bill,
Your GMC finished coach hot water heater is just like the one in your house, only 120vac instead of the house 220vac heating element. Pull the few screws that hold the surround to the lower wall in the bathroom where your hot water heater is located. UNPLUG the coach from shore power and pull back the insulation to expose the heating element electrical connections. Now plug the coach into shore power and measure the voltage at the heating element. It should be very close to 120vac. If not, the heating element is likely burned out, or the breaker is not turned on or you have a problem in your shore power circuit. If the first, replace the element with a 120VAC unit and you should be good to go. If you did not understand these last few sentences. stop and hire a qualified electrician or plumber to do the work for you.

As I said earlier I am new to GMC's so here's my question I fill the water
tank (full) flip the switch for the hot water heater, I am plug in a 15 amp
recep, had it on for over 1 hr and no hot water. What am I doing wrong.
