I tell this because we all hate to hold up production because of our ancient machines...
I was getting four new Toyo tires. (I am sure that we could argue about the foolishness of this purchase because they may cause the front bumper to turn purple with yellow spots but I had 46K miles on the four I was replacing.)
I have Sully type bags from JimK.
I gave careful instructions at to how to lift the coach and how I would need to put air back in so they could get the jacks out. After the tires and wheels were back on I noticed they had let the jacks down. I jumped in and gave my J.R. Slaten valves a twist and the right side started coming up instantly. The left side didn't move. I got out and they had managed to jerk the jack out. I went in again and twisted my knobs. On raise I heard no hissing. If I turned to lower I got one puff of air and nothing.
I left it on raise and went back out and looked. It was sitting almost on the ground. Finally we decided to try to wedge the floor jack back under. He got it in a bit and as soon as it went up for a tiny bit air started hissing and up it came.
My theory is that the bag had collapsed so far it was covering the air fitting inside, stopping the air. Sounds silly to me, because if I needed to plug up 120 lbs. of air I could never do it. But with it on raise the moment the jack moved the coach 1/2" it started hissing and it came right up.
