I just got my renewal premium and it's up 25% to $660. I've got agreed on coverage at $35000. I had an agent (Miller) check around and for our older motor homes, it's hard to find anyone to insure them and it turned out the best deal for me is to bite the bullet and pay what Progressive asks. Bummer.

I wanted to give credit where due, so here is the link to the thread from last year:

Armand Minnie recommended Andrew at 216-592-7107. That is a correct business line for Andrew and he answered on the second or third ring. No automated B.S. or layers or people to find who you need. I told him I had a '76 GMC and he said I must be looking for an agreed value policy. He knew exactly what info to get, said he had dealt with over a dozen GMC owners since last year, and the whole process took less than 30 minutes. I am waiting on my acceptance now, which could take 2 days. I also might have a problem since my appraisal is from March of 2013 and they generally want one less than 2 years old. So I may need a new appraisal. Otherwise, it was a very easy process. I don't remember the name of the company but I think it is National General that is providing the policy. I have it written down at work. Standard 100/300K coverage, 3K in "stuff", $500 deductible, 25K vacation, 100K slip and fall, etc... I went pretty standard all around except it is Agreed Value at just over 20K.
Part of the low rate is tied up in having Good Sam, but I'm not sure how much.

My two Progressive Policies will be up in July. When I moved from California to Nevada last summer I last paid $989 for my 1973 26ft and $705 for my 1976 23ft. compared to $418 and $319 for the same coverage in Calif. I don't have a stated value policy either.
Was really shocked about the over 100% price increase in Nevada over Calif. But having lived in Las Vegas now for 9 months I understand why. The drivers here are horrendous! Every day I see someone outright run a red light and/or driving aggressively. The signals here have such a long cycle time that everyone tries to make it through the intersection at all cost to avoid being stopped for so long. Also the street lanes and signs are not very visible or don't make any sense etc. etc. Seems the only thing on the local news is car crashes and pedestrians being run down. The city is blanketed with billboards and TV ads for injury lawyers!

After living there for a bit, I think an MRAP (armoured truck used in Iraq
and Afghanistan) would be good choice for that town.
