If you would like a free small piece of the Komatex PVC product that I used for my headliner, P.M. me with address.
I'm very happy with the results, and CFO is even happier.
On to more stuff.

Thomas,
I PM'd you my address already. I am really looking forward to a sample.
The name made me wonder, and of course, it comes from Europe, more
specifically from Austria.
Seems the original product is KömaTex and the company behind it
Kömmerling (part of profine), brought out a successor called KömaTexNEW
- no idea about the difference between the two, but probably a good
information when it comes to pricing the original one.

Thomas,
another question: How many pieces of what size did you need to complete
one ceiling?

I purchased 5 large metric sized sheets, after all, it is a European Product. Did not know that it was bigger than 4' x 8'. I expect that the original sheets were 1.5 m x 3 m, or slightly longer. I had asked the dealer for 4 x 8 sheets, so they cut the sheets down. Do not do this, keep the original size and you can save the cost of one sheet. I did see the error of my order, and took all of the trim pieces with me.
I now think that 4 sheets would produce enough to fully finish one GMC headliner. I used the 6 mm thickness. Colors are only available in the thicker sizes, other than black.
I do have 2 4 x 8 sheets left over, due to my use of the trim pieces to fill in the gaps. I did not remove the bath module or the frig/closet module, but worked around them. You can easily lift the ceiling of the GMC with a small hydraulic jack and a 2 x 4. For insertion of the 6 mm material, not much lift is needed.
Material cleans up very nicely with an art gum eraser. Really improved the noise reduction in the GMC, as well as added insulation against The South's Summer Heat.

Thomas,
thanks a lot. A lot of very useful information. Especially interesting
that you got the 6mm thick ones. I wonder if the KömaCel might be even
better suited. It is only available in thicker variations than the
KömaTex which I was glad you provided your choice of thickness. It isn't
available in multiple colours, but should provide some additional
insulation level. I already asked a friend from a printing company about
these. Will know shortly.
Thanks a bunch for the details. Very much appreciated.

I also used the Komatex sheeting to replace my ceiling and side panels. Couldn't be happier with the nice clean look and it was easy to cut and fit by myself. Since it's waterproof, you don't have to worry about it falling apart from the inevitable leaks that may occur. They had a distributor in the Chicago area so I was able to go pick up the panels locally.

Tom,
I think you answered these questions already but I can't remember the answer.
1) What color Komatex did you use?
2) Is it available in anything other than primary colors in the USA. In Australia all you can get is white, yellow, blue, green,
etc. I intend to use white on the ceiling of The Blue Streak but would like to use a tan color on the walls.
Regards,
Rob M.

Komatex is less than 1/2 the density of solid ABS so the 6mm Komatex would weigh less than 3/16" (4.76mm) ABS and since its a foam it should make a slightly better insulator.
Both share the advantage that they cannot soak up water and rot.
