A wild ride at Kennedy Space Center!

The speedometer they show in the film does not register anything below 40mph.
I guess that should give us a clue.

At 1,244 h.p. it is more powerful than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

Fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride !!!

When he drives this Chevrolet Corvette powered Hennessey Venom GT he doesn’t shift into fourth gear until 160 MPH! https://www.youtube.com/embed/gWAavCjVQvM?feature=player_detailpage

Someone once told me "If you have to ask how much, you probably can't
afford it." ( grin) That doesn't apply to GMC parts I am told.

That car might as well be the space shuttle as far as I'm concerned.
About as likely for me to drive either.

It’s that hockey stick curve on wanting to go faster - and if your email address has anything to do with it, your 7 liter Corvette puts you way up there.

That last leap is rocket science.

To paraphrase from Mad Max:
Speed is just a question of money.
How fast do you want to go and how long do you want to go that fast??

A question pondered by all gear heads interminably.

The pilots corollary, and first law of aerodynamics - the only thing keeping the airplane in the air is your wallet.

Or the boat afloat -

Or for that matter, the GMC in your driveway!

Well Mac, speaking from experience of a former slingshot dragster, and wild
60's gasser and competetion coupe driver, the thrill of high horsepower and
speed never goes away. The Bonneville GMC effort turns my crank as well. My
first wife Mary put it into clear focus for me. She said "Do you want to
drive race cars, or do you want to be married ? You can't spend the rent
money on race cars any longer. Your choice !" I made the choice to walk
away and not look back. Right one for me. I still had some growing up to
do. Maybe I still do. (Grin)

Yeah the Vette is a 12.00 second 118mph car all day long, it will dip into the 11s if you can drive.
It's as much as I want, more actually.
It is easy to think you want more, but the curve is definitely exponential. I have friends with fast cars. I'm the slow poke.

My new car I'm building has a 190hp V6.
I want a car that I can just drive without feeling I should be wearing a helmet

Our family car (2012 Ford Flex) has a 355 hp Eco-Boost V6 with paddle shifters for manual shifting. Fast enough and quick enough for me!

The GMC in the driveway doesn't cost anything after it gets there, unless you want to spend time in it someplace other than the driveway. I can show you the receipts.

After I bought the Sequoia, and got a little into the reno to make it sleep 4 people, the CFO got mad because my spending was interfering with her spending. So after that date, zero dollars on the GMC(s) sitting in the driveway.

I would like someone to come and give me $8000 for it (or as close as I can get to that) and put it back in service. It isn't going anywhere as long as I continue to own it.
