Many of you probably already have the Easter circular from Harbor Freight with the 25% off coupon, but I’m writing in praise of that place today. I bought a cheap rope hoist to remove and replace my roof air conditioner. The tree outside my house is ideal for hoisting off of. I wrapped a few Harbor Freight straps around my old AC, lashed the hoist to the branch and the straps, waddled my fat a$$ off of the roof, tugged on the rope and up she went. Backed up the coach and lowered her down. Easy peasy. I think Arch used to say I love it when a plan comes together.
Off topic, well not GMC related, I’ve been wanting to paint the back fence for a long time so after pressure washing it I stopped at HF with my Super Coupon and bought a paint sprayer - the ones with the pint (quart?) cup screwed to it and did the fence in no time. Primer and two coats of paint in about 2 hours. $15 for the sprayer and I didn’t bother to clean it. Knowing the quality of HF stuff I suspect the next time I’d have gone to use it I’d be met with an hour of frustration… Also, I had in mind to rent a sprayer from Home Depot for $50 - no cleaning and $35 ahead!
Just saying that sometimes Harbor Freight has the right tool for the job.
