Needing to get the coach off the ground to replace my old steel brake lines and looking to borrow wood ramps i am in the South Bay of Los Angeles area and can come and pick up if someone can lend um thanks Tony. Oh and if you have rusty pitted lines or have had one or two lines go on you relace them all i had catastrophic brake failure when the main rear steel line blew in a panic stop on the freeway and unbeknownst to me the metering valve apperantly was not working so didn't have front brakes when rear line blew. So now i have ordered all new SS lines and will be going to town on the brakes. Thankfully no one was hurt and the cat like response that these motorhome's achieve saved a whole lot of devistating results. If you have doubts about your brake system get them taken care of and don't risk it was a big learning lesson for me and i will never take it for granted again most important thing is to be able to STOP ! I have done a lot of work and going through the brakes was one but didn't replace old steel lines going through out the coach . If some are on the fence about the condition of the steel lines than i would highly suggest replacing all and not patching in here and there. Appreciate any help thanks.

Gene,

Depends on where he buys the SS lines.

If he buys them from Tom Hampton they will be OK if he buys them from Classic Tube he'll have problems - been there done that!

I've never used a copper cone on an inverted flare fitting and am not sure they will fit.

Rob M.
