To All,
Amazon is offering a number of Suburban Furnaces that can be used in the coach.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002F6868/ref=pe_344980_135513540_em_1p_0_ti

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T6L50OK/ref=pe_344980_135513540_em_1p_8_ti

And those of you that have the Gas HW heater:

For info only, not recommendation.

I purchased the Amazon NT-30SP last fall for the 1977 Birchaven I am
working on. I paid $529, so this is a much better buy. I have it
installed and it works fine.

Because of the difficulty in doing an annual cleaning, we no longer use
Suburban furnaces. The Atwood "Hydraflame" units have a door on the
outside to access all maintenance. Plus we have found a 24,000 btu Atwood
pumps out as much useable heat as a 30,000 btu Suburban. The unit is much
smaller and after the mods to install it it is a much nicer package. Get a
digital thermostat, get rid of the spring back there and the thing is much
more user friendly. Cost is what it is, did someone tell you a motorhome
was going to be a cheap thing?

Works better for us, this is what we do.

Oh and the same holds true for the Atwood LP water heaters. They have one
that is electronic ignition, AC and heat exchange. Can crank all 4 sources
at the same time and make hot water fast!

Jim,

Have you posted any pictures of an Atwood heater installation on the Pose? I’m curious which heater you’ve chosen and what it looks like installed.

Thanks,
