Looks like I have some cracking on my old airbags, so I'm looking at replacements. Sully's replacements seem popular, but I'd like to keep things as "stock" as possible. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with Cinnabar's newer OEM-style airbags that they and JimK ( http://appliedgmc.com/prod.itml/icOid/1430 ) are selling. Any thoughts on them?

Thanks, J.R., that's good to know. I do have a problem with the bags leaking down. The driver side bag leaks down after only a few days, and about a week on the passenger side. I have shutoff and schrader valves on both. If I shut the valves off, it does slow the leaking a bit, so I'm planning on checking the plumbing as well.

My "Sully type" bags are great. We have a '74 so there is the small one gallon air tank on the coach. The lower pressure the new bags use is a great advantage when raising the coach. You can feel it moving up. One of the cheaper local gas stations has quite a steep entrance but I can switch my J.R. Slaten valves to Raise for about 10 seconds and don't drag a bit.
I happen to have mine installed at JimK's and to tell the truth, I was at least an hour away before I remembered to think about any change in the ride. It may be a little more stable on corners but that may be imagination. It still steps over speed bumbs, etc. with the smoothness GMCs are famous for.

Hey Brian, I'm with you, I kind of prefer to keep it original but the pricing on the Sully system is attractive. If I had to decide today I would go Sully. I'm even tempted to order a set of brackets now so I will be sure to have them for future use.
Have you had your GMC up to the Washington Lake campground in the Uinta mountains? Not too far from Salt Lake City and really nice. I camped there as a Boy Scout 40 years ago and it was remote wilderness and barely accessible. Now they have a beautiful camp ground there.

Thanks, Steve. We haven't taken too many outings. We've had one thing or another go wrong with our coach when we've tried to use it over the past several years, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I've gotten most of the kinks worked out. I'll have to add Washington Lake to the list.

The airbags in The Pig looked awful. Cracked and hotdogged but held air
fine. Probably would have lasted for awhile longer but I did not want to
worry about a failure when on the road. The ensuing gmc airbag system
research resulted in my development of the Sullybilt system. If the airbags
make you uncomfortable then you must do something about them or they will
always be on your mind raining on your parade and ruining your GMC
experperience. Make a change that gives you peace of mind whether it be the
reproduction oe or another system. It will give you the confidence of new
tires.
