My Dad often golfed during winter even before he moved to Florida for four months each winter around age 70 so he could golf every day.

If the snow were crusty enough back in the western NY snowbelt of Chautauqua County, they used orange balls to minimize losses!

I frequently did my paper route on old wooden skis during winter back in the mid 50s!

Mac,

I used to play winter golf when I lived in Virginia. When the ground froze
you could get some great rolls and great drives.

Mac,

I may be all wet but didn't some company invent a golf ball with a transmitter in it so it could be easily found?

Rob M.

Could be, Rob. I'm not a golfer. I do see folks out golfing in weather conditions where I would certainly be indoors, dry and warm!

And I see you got another dump of snow this weekend. Hopefully means a
great summer and fall or BC will be flooded with move-ins from the
Maritimes.

It's a good thing it's not called Merrytimes.

See you in September!!!

Haha - exactly.

I think that should be "Golf in EASTERN Canada"!

Having said that - I did *briefly* consider buying an ice scraper in mid December. That feeling passed pretty quickly and I was back to complaining about mowing the lawn...

Was the 23' near Brentwood Bay? It's been unmoved in at least 10 years - there was some discussion regarding it on the list last August. I went with Bob Wright and talked with the owner - I think he values it at $5-10K...

I suspect the other one is the 26' that has been for sale since last fall or late summer. Several have reported on it here - it was also just listed on GMCMI. It's been all over town - he's doing a good job getting it parked in somewhat high traffic areas (for around here!).
