Dan Winchester's wife, Carol, passed away after a long fight with mesothelioma cancer. They have owned their GMC since it was just one year old and many of you will remember the remarkable job they did redoing that coach a few years ago. It was one of the three display coaches at the combined GMCWS, GMC 49ers and GMC Cascaders rally at Coos Bay, Oregon. Some of you may remember the equally remarkable job they did redoing a 23 foot coach for their son, Dane. He is an avid Oregon Ducks football fan so that coach is all done up in green and gold as a tailgate machine. And, those of you who knew Carol remember the remarkable job she did as a nationally known water color artist in spite of being inflicted with rheumatoid arthritis all of her adult life. She will be greatly missed.

Sad news indeed. I had the opportunity to meet both Dan and Carol at a couple of GMCSJ rallies they attended a few years ago. First rate people, both of them. I'm sure she will be missed.

Jerry,
John Sharpe mentioned they were at the Coos Bay Rally but with my lousy memory I can't remember meeting Dan or his wife.
I would, however, offer my condolences, mesothelioma is a particularly nasty form of cancer. It has been in the news a great deal in
Australia due to all the cases caused by asbestos used in homes built after WWII.
I hope Dan focuses on the good times he and Carol had and his grief passes quickly.
Regards,
Rob M.
