Hugh, a GMCer here in Antigonish alerted me to this coach in Saskatchewan:

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-rv-motorhome/winnipeg/classic-gmc-motorhome/1054505335

As it turns out another GMCer has taken the High Road just this January !
The coach was owned by Vic Godbout and his wife Sylvia and sale is being
handled by their daughter Cindy.

For the $14,000 asking price you won't find a better buy considering the
amount of renovating that has been done.

Have a look...

Wow! Very innovative. They didn't let the location of the windows
influence their layout. It's different, creative, bright, and well done.
I suppose one person has to utilize the dinette for a bed.

I guess I am too much of a prude to have the toilet in the bedroom. As far as I am concerned, that makes it a one-person RV.

When I went through basic training at Lackland AFB in 1964 we lived in WWII barracks with a row of toilet bowls lined up one next to
the other with NOTHING between them. Showers were a row of nozzles and valves about 4-5 feet apart as well.

No modesty there!

Regards,
Rob M.

It all looks very well done. However its also to a very personal taste which is going to reduce the number of likely buyers and/or its sale price.
However since the owners got what they wanted for many years and no one should be imagining that they are making an investment in buying a GMC
and fixing it up, they probably made the right choice for them. This coach, if mechanically sound is a better buy than many even if the rear section would have to be refitted to a more conventional layout and the soft furnishings recovered/replaced.

I would have lived that way too in basic training. But not on vacation with my wife and maybe one or two kids over the age of 12.

Just as an update, the coach has been sold and I am awaiting the new owner

Well boys...the good news is that my 29.5 stretch is still for sale...and at the current US to Canadian exchange rate, the coach with brand new Caddy 500 is a mere $18000. (aprox.)

Have tired several times...cant seem to make it work.
The actual build was done by a very talented man in Texas.
His process can be found on the GMC Classic club web site tech page. Look for Linwood Arthur.
I have done a host of additional upgrades in addition.
