So me and my instructor went out and did some steep turns (45), did some slow flight on our way back to the airport. Were on the 45 for the DW and he says give me 2 touch and goes and a full stop landing in the parking area and you are gonna go solo.
He signed my logbook and my medical certificate and said I'll see you when you get back.
Start the plane (1979 Cessna 172N w/180hp Lycoming N5520D), taxi down to the run up area.
Start my "Before Takeoff" checklist, get down to the run up for mag check.
1700 RPM, Left mag, little drop in the RPM, back to both. Left and then Right mag........ Right Mag........ Chug, Chug, Chug. 250 drop on the RPMs.
Well shit.
Back to both mags, 1200 RPM, release the parking brake, taxi back to the hangar.
I still don't know if I should laugh or cry. I would appreciate suggestions on that though.
