I've had my coach for 32 years & I used to get all my parts from Cinnabar
before I knew about the Jim's,
A few years back, I took my coach to Cinnabar for an engine, six wheel
alignment, new blinds & surrounds.
The blinds & surrounds turned out beautiful but the six wheel alignment
left a little to be desired as it didn't handle any better than when I
brought it in.
When the mechanic had the engine installed & took it for a test drive.
As soon as he pulled onto the highway it started to rap & miss.
When he brought it back to the shop, he found # 8 exhaust valve was frozen
closed
& the push rod was bent & the lifter popped out of it's hole.
He changed the head without removing the intake manifold. I had never have
seen it done that way.
I never have trusted that engine ever since & it now has a little over
45,000
miles on it & is starting to lose about 1 quart of oil every 300 miles.
It doesn't smoke out the exhaust so I think it is leaking around the pan
gasket or seals as I have oil covering the pan area.
I will clean that area with brake cleaner & spray foot powder on it to see
where the oil is coming from.
It cost me $12,000.00 that time & I never went back.
I agree that Wes does not contribute anything to this community.
That's my story & I'm sticking to it.
