After carefully reading the two stories by Jim Koscs on the GMCs
(published via Coke and BBC sites) I wrote a note to hime expressing my
appreciation for the fine articles and "free" publicity (called
marketing). I through in my own Gadabout story as well. Here is his
reply.

Byron,

Thanks for the feedback -- and the very interesting story about one of
the
winning Gadabouts. FYI, all of the info in my story came from the GMC
community. Coke had no info to give me, and of course the people I work
with there were not working for Coke 35 years ago. So this as all news
to
them. My Gadabout story has garnered about 8,500 Facebook "Likes" --
making it about the third most popular story Coke has run on its
"Journey"
website in the two years it's been around. I'm going to guess that a lot
of those came from GMC-ers!
