I just got this from Amazon. I had checked at the local auto parts stores and the only ones they had in the proper size for Alcoa nuts were chromed and looked and felt cheap. This bad boy is epoxy painted and has a good heft to it. Sure I could use a ratchet and socket, but there's just something about breaking the lug nut loose and then holding the wrench in one hand and giving it a good spin to get the nut off.
Anyway, enough of me waxing poetic over lug wrenches. Enjoy!

Carefully calibrated biceps!
Seriously, this for changing a flat quickly on the side of the road. I carry a torque wrench in the coach, but "good-n-tight" by hand is good enough to get you someplace safe.
A few years ago while driving a truck and camper I had a flat on a busy interstate full of semi trucks. Even though I was completely on the shoulder, the trucks made the rig rock every time they went by. The star wrench I had made changing the tire quick and easy, and I pulled off at the next ramp and found a safe place to check the torque.

David,
I agree that R&R'ing a flat tire on the drivers / road side when pulled over is a harrowing situation and DANGEROUS! Watch any of
the Cop shows and you'll see a fair few officers get hit when they're standing at the drivers window!
Actually I carry one of these in Double Trouble:
http://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-heavy-duty-electric-impact-wrench-68099.html
And one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-2-Drive-Torque-Bar-Extension-Impact-Limiting-Stick-140-ft-lbs-190Nm-NEW-/321646600940
And I ga-ron-tee they're faster than the + wrench!
The down side is that I have to start the Onan to R&R a tire. I am waiting for one of these to go to a lower price on sale:

And if the Onan doesn't start (not that THAT would ever happen ;o)
We should have a tire changing race, John Henry style, man against machine!

Actually my Onan is VERY reliable after Emery Stora helped me go through it.
However, being the pedantic bugger that I am I like belt and suspenders that's why I'm going to buy one of the battery powered
models.
No way, remember what happened to John Henry at the end of the contest! I would not want to be the cause of your demise! ;-)

I had one of those for the SOB (P30 chassis) and bent it taking a wheel off. With even a >little< bend, they won't spin properly, so I trashed it. Now that I have Eagles on the GMC, I'll likely get another.

The last time I had to exchange my 1/2" drive ratchet I got the new
improved ergonomic ratchet that I hated.
Apparently it was such a good item they don't have it listed anymore.
