I'm helping a friend out with his '72 Olds Cutlass Supreme 350. His timing cover is so corroded behind the water pump that I'm afraid coolant will soon breach what little metal is left. Apparently any timing cover from an Olds manufactured V8 between at least '65 - '79 will fit (260, 307, 330, 350, 400, 403, 425, 455). It doesn't have to be shiny or be totally corrosion-free, just something with a bit more meat than what his has. Please reply with shipping cost included. I'm in 92117. No huge rush, just something I can get by the end of January will be just fine. Thanks in advance.

There is a local fellow that deals in Oldsmobiles. His name is Jimmy
Michael and he owns and operates Classic Olds. I was in his shop several
days ago and he has a large inventory of everything Olds. His phone
number is 336-766-7845 and is located in Clemmons, NC. I have known this
man for 25 years and he knows Olds forward and backwards. Jimmy was
telling me he built 28 455's last year and had already sold 23 of them, so
I offered to sell him the 2 455's I have sitting in my garage and he'll be
by next week to pick them up So, if no one here can help you, give Jimmy a
call.

When we rebuilt one locally we just ordered a new one from GM It was not that expensive.
Mondello also has them for $89.00.
