A while ago Kerry said that he had ordered a vacuum switch from NAPA and it worked great.

What switch is that and what does it control. What is the NAPA part number?

Thanks,

Jack Kincaid, Castro Valley, CA

Jack, it is the vacuum switch on the back of the heater controls. It opens and closes all the air doors on the HVAC.

NAPA A/C vacuum switch 207709 About $29 irrc. You can get the same thing cheaper off ebay but Napa had it in their wearhouse and I got it the next am. My old one just wouldn't work right.

The new switch fixed most my problems. Air doors operate quick and positive. I have a whistle while one particular door cycles but that's not the valves problem other than the pot is getting more vacuum. I have a dead recirculate door pot but for now, in the winter, I don't want much outside air anyway so I've blocked it off.

In the winter you do want the outside air to keep inside glass clear.
