Anyone know of RV surplus shops that are worth visiting?

Business will take me to South Bend, Indiana, and Elkhart is right next door.

Send Paul Bartz a note and he can give you exact names and locations. Here are some I would visit:

1. RV Surplus Salvage - Elkhart
2. Bontragers - White Pigeon
3. New One (Good Place) on west side of White Pigeon on US 12.
4. Another one North of White Pigeon in Constantine. I forgot the name.
5. Small One west of fairgrounds in Goshen I think it is "Triple K"

It all depends on what you are looking for. There are a couple more around Middlebury and Shipshewana.

Again contact Paul for directions and information. I know how to find them if I am driving but unfortunately I do not know the names of the roads and businesses well enough to give directions.

Ken, All,

1. RV Surplus Salvage - Elkhart. They used to be the big one downtown Elkhart - now moved more into town - RVPartsNation?

3. New One (Good Place) on west side of White Pigeon on US 12. This may be Johnson's - been there a while

5. Small One west of fairgrounds in Goshen I think it is "Triple K". This may be "Triple D" - was there about three weeks ago, quite disappointing.

Just my 2 cents

Like I said. I know how to find them but not by their street names. Was Triple D the one run by an Amish fellow and his family?

I never knew the name one the west side of White Pigeon. I have bought several things there.

Now we need another rally in the area to really have fun. Both GMCMI rallies in the area were good. And, I missed a few of the surplus places.
Better luck next time.

Yes, it was. It's just a farm house with a couple of old buildings in the barnyard. Sometimes you can find odd, or different things at places like this, but this one had mostly the same stuff the other ones had.
Bontraggers seems to be taking advantage of the resurgence in the RV industry - they've done a lot of organizing and labeling, but of course, we've noticed a slight increase in their prices also.
