Hey There GMC'ers anyone here have any knowledge about this tool? It claims to be able to get grease to the front bearings without disassembling the hub. If it works I am VERY interested... and yes I know dis-assembly and packing would be the best ... but ...

Call Jim at Applied and he can tell you how it works. There might be some pictures out in the photo site.

I'm not going to give an opinion, but I will caution you to clean that
usually very dirty area behind the knuckle VERY thoroughly before loosening
the axle nut. Including everywhere above there from which even a single
grain of sand can fall -- to be introduced to the bearings -- perhaps
catastrophically.

David,

I had the pleasure of listening to Chuck when he gave a presentation on his greasing tool, IIRC he noted that it would be best to
disassemble the hubs and knuckles to see what their condition was before the tool was used.

When this tool was discussed here on the GMCnet it was noted that the area around the CV joint where attach the tool was very dirty
and you had to be VERY careful not to get any crud in the bearings.
