Ok Thanks for the feedback. I read the history and agree with some of the conclusions. Without feedback from actual height provided by the the existing sensor through the linkage there is no compensation for changes in load on the bags by various tank level changes or people moving around. Pressure in the bags represents height only at one loading condition and if used in a traditional feedback control system would represent positive feedback which would make it unstable. Sorry for the technicalese but control engineers like to hear explanations based on basic principals. I am a marine mechanical engineer by education and over the past 45 years have developed and patented numerous analog and digital control systems. My name is Jon D. and presently live in NJ. Hope that clears up the mystery man questions. I really have never used forum blogs on computers so I am not familiar with using this site. Forgive me if I screw things up. I really value the information posted here beca
use it is a good blend of experience and educated opinions. As far as cost is concerned I am looking for a pain thresh-hold above which people just won't spend the money. That becomes the cost I design to. I can breadboard components on to a board that will replace everything except the solenoid valves. Is it more important that it is simple to install or is less expensive to purchase? The more I put on the board pre-wired the easier the install. I can do this digitally or using analog circuitry. I am going to build one for my coach anyway and it will be expensive buying individual off the shelf components. I would then turn the basic design over to a manufacturer in Houston I use for him to manufacture and sell. I already have a business and don't need another one at my age.
If you want to email me direct use aces4nrg@gmail.com. The more feedback I get the better the design will reflect what the community is looking for. This is my 3rd GMC over the past 25 years and I am just giving back if I can.
