Greetings,
This is my first posting on any forum so it may take me a bit to get this figured out. I am looking to replace the furnace in my newly acquired 76 Edgemonte. Brought it up from FL last month and am getting it ready for full timing.
I want to replace the original furnace with something I can trust. I had a 30,000 BTU in a Glenbrook that we had for about ten years, and it seemed to cycle a lot but did a good job in keeping things warm. I want to simplify the ducting also. I hear Attwood makes a furnace that you service from the outside. Anyone have experience with that one? I plan on changing the paint color so body modifications would be acceptable. I am currently in WI so heat is good.
Thanks,
Ray R.

If it has a two speed fan, the burner may also have two settings. I would think that you would need to get rid of the heat so as not to trip the high limit. Sounds like you got a good deal. I simplified the ductwork on a previously owned Glenbrook by eliminating the ductwork to the rear of the coach. Seemed to work out fine. It is such a small space, I think they went over kill with their ductwork. I think the main thing is to separate the cold air intake from the hot air registers. And one also needs to have enough square inches of openings.
