Greetings all!!
I'm new to the forum even though I've used it extensively during my search for our family coach. I bought a 78 Royale last month and now I'm making a list of the things that I need to go over in order to have it ready and enjoy it in the spring. So far this is what I've come up with, I'm sure with all of the experience in this forum I can get help identifying things that I may have missed. Thank you.
1. Replace fuel lines to engine and generator.
2. Replace fuel, air and oil filters for engine and generator.
3. Oil change on engine and generator.
4. Replace engine oil cooler lines.
5. Plugs and wires for generator.
6. Install aux vacuum pump.
7. Replace vacuum lines.
8. Replace rubber brake lines.
9. Replace brake cylinders.
10. Investigate rear battery wiring and replace battery.
11. Install APC.
12. Fix black and grey water tank broken discharge lines.
13. Fix fuel filler leak
14. Clean up messy wiring.
15. Lube gas pedal cable.
16. Check fuel selector valve function.
17. Degrease engine.
18. New tires.
19. Bearing service and alignment.

Welcome! Nice looking coach! I've had my 73 Canyonlands for just over two years now, last spring break, albeit chilly, we vacationed at Holiday TravLPark, in Virginia Beach. It was our longest trip to date, but look forward to many more. Hope to see you on the road or at a rally.

Hey Jose, glad to see you on the forum. You have clearly done your research. I would move that APC cable to the top of the list. I learned the hard way on that one.
You and I chatted on Facebook about the damaged coach for sale in PA. Welcome aboard. As you know, there are a lot of great guys (and gals) on the forum.

Don't forget your coolant hoses including the ones to the hot water heater if you have them.
Good list. By addressing all this up front, you'll save yourself a lot of grief (and unhappy spouse)
Btw Jose, please add your name in the signature block in the control panel. We like to have a name to call folks.

Nice looking coach!
Your list looked good. It is amazing how well they run without much, but then some silly little thing like a leaky hose can cause you grief. You will have lots of fun miles this spring and many springs to come.

Thanks all! I'm happy and excited that we purchased a GMC not only because it's an awesome machine but because of all of the great people like you. I'm going to start buying parts after we visit family for holidays.
Tom, I replied to your PM with my info.
Gene, I've seen your page and I will send you the $20 when I return from our trip.

Jose,
Yes, please add your real name to the sigfile. You will meet other GMC owners and if he has to figure out who you are, it can take a while to get things going.
You have a good plan, but if tires were on the list, I missed them. If they are over 8 years old, they are dangerous. So, get them changed out.
Now, you are now a member of a community like very few others. You may not even recognize that now, but in time you will. The only other like this that I know of is watermen. Those people that make their living on the water have no room in their lives for grudges or other trivialities. Help your fellows is what they do. That is that..... For this reason, some year back I decided to welcome all new owners here much as a new owner or vessel would be welcomed in my own community. So,
May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.
Welcome Jose.
