Have you ever wonder how long G-mail keeps your erased emails?

Well I signed up for a G-mail account in 2005 to work on a project for GMC-Eastern states. That was 0n 08-25-2005.

I quit using that account in late 2006 over published security, spam, and data collection concerns with that provider.

Well today G-mail decided to do an email dump to me and I had hundreds of G-mail stored emails from 2005 and 2006 show up in my inbox show up as unread. This is interesting and backs up my original concerns with their system.

So do not send or receive anything there that you think that you would later like to delete or remove. Big Brother (GMAIL and maybe the NSA) is watching you.

or look at it the other way. You no longer have a need to backup
important stuff, as long as that stuff had ever been stored in GMail,
Google and/or the NSA has made a backup for you

Unless you work for the IRS... Only those emails are "gone" forever.

Sent from my Windows Phone

I think we all need to remember e-mail never is or was private, period.
