I had been wondering what happened to this coach, my good friend Carter B.
Smith (the self proclaimed "Prince in the body of a Disk Jockey") used to
do remotes for KABL from this coach. I has a complete radio studio in the
back and a "lounge" area up front for interviews.

Terry,
I just saw your website for the first time. Very nice.

For those who have not seen it, just follow the link in Terry's signature. Nice logo reproductions.

Terry -
We (Katz Broadcasting) had two 26' mobile studios, which were called 'Starships'. One at WAAF (Crank it UP!!) in Worcester Mass, and one at WWKA/WDBO in Orlando. Cox Communications bouth the chain of stations, and later sold the Worcester cluster to Entercom. I don't know what became of them thereafter. I was at the Orlando facility a year ago, and something else was parked in the Starship bay so I guess it's gone. Bounds might know what became of it.

I find the deck on the rear roof appealing. It takes the weight/wear off the roof metal and stops the sun from heating up the roof in that area.
Also would take a heavier load (or what can be carried up top) than the roof itself.

Good to see some of the old coaches in another life... lol

Interesting layout. I would assume it started life as a transmode, but there is a fridge vent in the stock location behind the door, and there is a kitchen or door size window where the side bath would be... I wonder what it left the factory as?

Yea, that Cox mobile station ended it's days at WJRR rock station. I heard
about it here still in Orlando behind a bar. Just no time to look around
-- it still may be back there -- probably SWR's are way off by now...

I'll try to chase Jesse Fluker down next week when I'm down there and see if he knows where it went - he was the Chief when it left.Maybe we can go find it and you (Bounds) can buy it and rehab as necessary.
