Here is an intriguing idea for twin beds in a single bed layout. It was
given to me by Forest Crow of Lagrange, IN. It does take custom mattresses,
but but they like it more than having to crawl over each other to get out of
bed.

Very nice idea. Will see how SWMBO likes the current setup in April, and
if we need to change anything. Thanks for the layout.

I think it's a great idea for folks that might not be tall. The max length of the cattycorner bed isn't really realistic unless you have a pointed head and toes and never move. Laughing But for someone that is 5'-4" or so, it might work fine.

My wife is 5'-10" and would be running her head and feet into the walls when she turned over.

I thought about a similar arrangement some time back but the long bed was a 'bunk' arrangement about 18" over the foot of the existing bed which would be a bit narrower so there was a place for the guy on top to step down without climbing on the lower mattress.

Forrest has some great out of the box ideas.

Does anyone have a picture of this arrangement?
If no, does anyone have Forest's email address?

I have 3 photos and Forrest's permission to publish them. I'll scan tomorrow and try to get them on the net.

Billy and Stick....thank you.
If the arrangement looks good, it would be slightly easier than doing a
stretch...

Thanks for sharing.

are 17 pictures in all.

Wow! That's nice, if not very utilitarian. Wouldn't take a very big closet
though.

If I was shortening the bath area, I'd see if something like this would work
for the bath:
